Shannon Barter, founder & president of ID.3, attended FIDM & has been involved in the design industry for more than 20 years. In the years prior to id.3's inception, Shannon forged long lasting relationships with the area's leading architects, contractors, & subs. Along with her technical & aesthetic design knowledge, Shannon brings to the table a wealth of knowledge in the construction trades as well. She enjoys being a part of the team necessary in building a client's dream home
Shannon values transparency & team collaboration in her work. She is appreciated for her organization, professionalism, strong sense of style, & humor. Never pretentious, Shannon links the design world & the trades so that everyone is open & willing to work together to create the client's design vision. Her goal as a designer is to help articulate her clients needs with a cohesive design, while sticking to timelines & budgets.
Recently expanding her design knowledge to commercial projects through her work in theaters, Shannon has enjoyed exploring this new design frontier & she strives to better herself & her firm continually through education & an unrelenting commitment to growth & development, both professionally & aesthetically.
Shannon's designs have taken her to Oahu, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Los Gatos, & Tahoe.
BRADY LEIGH MCCLINTOCK
Brady McClintock was a principal with the firm since 2008. Recently retired, Brady plans on traveling, working on her own home and enjoying Tahoe.
Brady’s Back-East upbringing gave her a refined aesthetic that helped her provide a sense of New York sophistication to her designs. She always balanced classic & current styles and her attention to detail & ability to thoroughly think details through were key in creating compelling interior aesthetics.
Brady design career began with Bay Area companies such as MCI Telecommunications & The Sharper Image. After moving to Tahoe City from San Francisco, CA, she continued her design career by working as project manager & designer for Truckee River Bank, designing their 40,000 square foot headquarters building at the Tahoe-Truckee Airport. Brady designed many lakefront residences along the shores of Lake Tahoe, stretching from Incline Village, NV to Tahoe City, as well as local commercial jobs for Pacific Union Real Estate, & Accountancy Offices.
During her career she designed homes in New York, Hawaii, Southern California, & the S.F. Bay Area. Her business travels have took her to as far as Bali, with a project designing furniture for a Balinese style house.
Brady's skills, her classy sense of style and her wealth of knowledge will be missed at id.3, but she is just a phone call away........
Katie Joubert came into the design field with a love of fabrics & color. After graduating with a BA in Textile Production & Design, she jumped headfirst into the interior design world, Katie has had the opportunity to expand her knowledge into the inner workings of residential construction, a rare skill for a designer to have.
Katie’s strong sense of style & education in Textile Production and Design has given Katie a passion for colors & textures, & has awarded her with a keen eye for layering textural elements in her designs.
Katie's great organizational skills, continuing desire to learn, & strength in working with deadlines and budgets, gives her the great ability of being able to get clients the biggest bang for their buck, all of while getting them unique designs for themselves and others to enjoy.
Katie loves to be involved in her projects from the initial contact with her clients through the challenging end of the job. She has the unique ability to insert herself when needed & step back when required. Considered a team player by her peers, Katie simply is a talented & accomplished designer.
Andrea Lackie received her BFA in Interior Design from Syracuse University and moved to New York City to pursue commercial design. She first worked as a project manager of a demountable wall product in commercial spaces including NYU Langone Medical Centers and the NFL headquarters.
As a project manager she frequented construction sites throughout the city and gained first-hand experience working with general contractors and subcontractors.
After gaining invaluable experience in the field Andrea became a designer on the Development Team for the high-end fitness chain Equinox Fitness where she developed her specialty and interest in efficient space planning. She developed space plans for new facilities ranging from 20,000 – 60,000 square feet, including the new flagship facility in Midtown West’s Hudson Yards.
After 5 years of NYC Andrea decided to make a lifestyle change and moved to the Tahoe area in the fall of 2015 where she made the transition into residential design and became part of the ID.3 team. Over the past few years she has proven to be a talented, organized interior designer with a great aesthetic eye and attention to detail.
